Zheng Liu is a Principal Investigator of the Institute for Advanced Studies at Wuhan University, China.
Dr. Liu graduated from Xiamen University in 2004 and received his Ph.D. from Xiamen University in 2010, where he worked on physical chemistry, nanophotonics, and tip-enhanced Raman spectroscope (TERS) under the supervision of Prof. Bin Ren (任斌教授).
In December 2011, he joined Prof. Tim Lian's lab at Emory University as a post-doctoral fellow and developed an AFM-integrated time and spatially resolved fluorescence microscopy for studying the Interfacial charge transfer dynamics by single QD modified AFM tip. Two years later, he joined Professor Khalid Salaita lab at Emory University and turned his research interests to field of the biophysics. In the Salaita lab, he developed the optomechanical actuator for controlling the mechanotransduction pathway in living cells.
Dr. Liu has been supported by the Youth Program of the Overseas High-level Talents Program of the Organization Department of China in 2016.
